Shri Kapil Verma

Mr. Kapil Verma is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee (erstwhile University of Roorkee). He began his career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and served Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). He is an officer of prestigious Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) cadre under the Military Engineer Services (MES). Throughout his career, Mr. Verma has worked closely with the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on projects of national importance.

He has extensive exposure to multidisciplinary teams and inter-agency coordination in the areas of policy implementation, contract management, and strategic planning. His engineering acumen, coupled with a strong administrative orientation, has significantly enhanced his decision-making capabilities. His collaborative approach enables him to assess the broader societal impact of policy decisions.

Mr. Verma is currently serving as Director (Refinery and Administration) in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG). Prior to joining the Board of Engineers India Limited (EIL), he served as a Government Nominee Director on the Boards of Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) and Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL).
